Michael D'Ambrosio | Biography

Experience: Over 40 years experience in electronics industry serving in positions from electronics technician to CEO and includes over 30 years as Founder of The Millennia Group organization.

Prior to forming The Millennia Group, Mike served as an electronics technician for Westinghouse for 5 years and 9 years with Power Control Corp as Operations Manager where he overseen a workforce expansion to 75 employees.  In addition to managing the PCC’s product line of power distribution products, Mike was the driving force in developing of PCC’s expertise in printed circuit board manufacturing and electronic assembly divisions.

As Director of Operations, Photronics, Mike was responsible for manufacturing circuit boards for its parent company, Contraves Goerz Corp and sold its excess capacity to OEM's in the local marketplace.  Under Mike’s leadership, Photronics grew from 15 to 60 employees during his 4 year tenure and was the first in the Pittsburgh area to offer Plated Thru-Hole Technology. 

He successfully applied for and received a loan from the Small Business Association to partially fund his new venture….Triangle Circuits of Pittsburgh, Inc.  The balance of the funding came from family members to and re-mortgaging of his personal residence.  Triangle Circuits of Pittsburgh, Inc began operations in 1979 as a three person organization specializing in the manufacturing of printed circuit boards.  By 1983, Triangle Circuit grew substantially to acquire the employees and assets of his former company, Contraves-Goerz.  The two companies’ were consolidated in 1984 and relocated to its present location in Oakmont , PA.    Triangle Circuits currently employs 75 and is recognized as a leading supplier for printed circuit boards in both the local and regional marketplace. 

Mike founded Millennia Technology Inc in 1983 to provide electronic assembly capability to local and regional OEM’s.  Millennium expanded several times during nearly 25+ years in operation and currently is located in Cheswick , PA.    Millennia Technology has over 100 employees and is recognized as a leading provider of electronic assembly services in the Northeastern portion of the USA . 

In 1999, Mike formed Millennia Design to compliment Triangle Circuits and Millennia Technology in providing OEM companies a single source for bringing their product ideas to market ahead of their competition.

Seeing a need for an overarching organization to create focus and structure for the three subsidiary companies, Mike formed The Millennia Group in 2001.   The Millennia Group Inc. was ranked among the top 100 electronics assembly in the United States by Electronic Business magazine in 2003.

John F. Powell, II | Senior Vice President Corporate Quality & Technology

John has more than 25 years experience in the industrial control systems market; contributing in both technical and management roles including Product Design and Development, Software Engineering, R&D, and Corporate Management with employers including International Cybernetics which was acquired by Gould and then AEG/Modicon (1984 – 1990) and Oberg Industries (1990 – 2003).

AEG/Modicon, formally ICC, pioneered the servo control industry as we know it today. This technology was the forefront of the highly automated and robotic platforms used in automotive assembly plants worldwide. As a leader in the Tool and Die industry, Oberg benefited from his talents in electronics to establish proprietary manufacturing processes and solutions separating Oberg from their competitors.

Additional activities include both instructional and board positions at Penn State University, New Kensington campus.

Education: Graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University, State College, PA.


Pat Sims – Vice President Operations

With over 30 years of experience in Operations and Supply Chain management and a proven track record of successful lean manufacturing implementations, Pat has held senior/executive positions for several companies. Pat joined Millennia in March 2007 as Materials Manager.

Pat came to Millennia from Cattron Group International, a world leader in manufacturing Industrial Radio Remote Control Units where he was the Director of Sourcing and Materials. Prior to this, Pat spent 20 years with Bacharach Inc., a manufacturer of electronic and electromechanical instruments for combustion and fuel efficiency analysis, gas detection, and safety products. While there Pat served over 15 years in their Supply Chain as Purchasing Manager and then Materials Manager, prior to becoming their Director of Operations.


Doug Harchick – Vice President Program Management

Doug joined Millennia Technology in 2007, as Manager of Program Management, and has 15 years management experience in manufacturing, production planning, purchasing and customer relations.  His expertise includes global operations management, implementation of lean manufacturing principles and production management.  Prior to joining MTI, Doug was employed by DeLaTorre Orthotics and Prosthetics, where he held the position of Operations Manager. Doug also held management positions at Medrad Inc., a worldwide market leader of medical devices that enable or enhance diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures and winner of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.  While there, Doug held positions as Process Manager of Support Services and Disposables Products before becoming Manager of Global Operations.


Aimee Rice | Biography

Aimee brings more than 15 years professional accounting experience to the Millennia Group, 14 years with high-volume manufacturing companies. Prior to joining the Millennia Group, she served as Controller for Bognar and Company, Inc. et al, where she had financial responsibility for nine affiliated companies.

She also served for 9 years as Controller for American Made, LLC and U.S. Liner Company. She gained her early accounting experience as Accounting Manager for Liberty Woods International, LLC, located in Carlsbad, CA, and as a Tax Accountant for Kaplan Sipos and Associates (now a part of Alpern Rosenthal).

Aimee earned her B.A. in Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
